2018 Fall Ball Registration

Parents - it is important that you read ALL of the following:

The Fall season is inter-league, which means that our teams will be playing against teams from other local leagues. Games may be home at our Trabuco Mesa fields or away at the fields of the other leagues we play. Games will be played on Sundays starting in early September and running through the middle of November.

General Information - Fall Ball Recreation and Select

The Fall Ball season is a continuation of Spring Softball and All Stars emphasizing fundamentals and skill development. Practice will start up in mid-August with games running from early September through the middle of November. All recreational games and most select games will be played on Sundays. We encourage all players to register in the division they will be playing in next Spring. Fall Ball is a great time to hone the skills necessary to prepare for a new division.

Fall Recreational - The Fall Recreational season offers players the opportunity to play competitive games and to develop skills in a low intensity environment. New players are welcome. Fall Recreation requires less of a time commitment compared to the Spring season and provides players with the ability to honor other sport or time commitments. Great for soccer players! The league will make every attempt to honor special requests, such as pairing players together. We will have teams for girls of all age divisions including 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U (depending on available coaches and interested players).

6U: The 6U division is designed to help new and younger players to learn the basic fundamentals of the game. Their will be non-competitive scrimmages scheduled on Sundays when applicable.

Practices: Once per week. Coaches (8u and above) will usually schedule an additional non-mandatory practice as well, i.e. batting cages.

Games: 1 game each Sunday.

Fall Select - Fall Select is highly competitive with a level of play similar to All Stars and a greater time commitment is required. See the Selection Process below.

Practices: 2 - 3 per week

Games: A double-header played mostly on Sundays.

Tournaments: Each Select team will participate in two tournaments during the season, typically in October and November. Tournaments will usually have multiple games on both Saturday and Sunday.

Selection Process: All players must register for Fall Select to be considered for selection to a Select team. The object of Fall Select is to form the most competitive teams possible. Select Head Coaches will select the players for their team. Due to the limited number of teams, not all girls who register for Fall Select will make a Select team. Any player not making a Select team will be placed on a Recreational team and refunded the difference in the registration fee.

Registration is open through July 31st. Teams will be formed the first week of August. Late registration will start on August 1st. All players who register late will be put on a wait list and be placed on a team in a "first come, first serve" basis if spots are available.

Fall Recreation registration fees for 8U - 14U are $125 and for 6U it is $99.

Fall Select registration fees are $225.

If a player registers for Select and is not chosen for a Select team, that player will be placed on a Recreational team and refunded $100.

Fees are non-refundable after July 31st.

Age Divisions

RTGSA will field teams for both Recreational and Select in the 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions. We will also look to field a 14U team based on interest and available coaches. Recreational teams only for the 6U division.
